Some time last year, I was interested in the Pocket PC. I attended Western Technology Center, a vocational school in Burns Flat, Western Oklahoma. Since it was registered, I have a government check every couple of months, and my paycheck where I was working. Once I had some money saved, I went online and bought the Axim X5. This PDA "Personal Digital Assistant" is formed by Dell, and comes pre-installed with Microsoft Pocket PC 3.0.1 Build 11178.

The dealer I bought the device from "TigerDirect" was the product in my home in a reasonable time table, about 2-3 days before it was scheduled to get off. I was very pleased when I checked the package and nothing was missing. With the smell of new plastic in hand, dove into the package, the unit itself is very light, only 196 grams, so the conclusion feels natural. An illuminated 3.5 "TFT screen running at a resolution of: 320x240 pixels can be manipulated by the brightness using the software pre-installed. Go through two menus, and you click your way to a brighter, or dimmer screen, whatever you choose.

With a clock of 400 MHz processor, the Axim X5 can handle almost anything you can throw at it. When you are just listening to music, and you need the batteries to last a little longer than usual, simply go to the Power Settings and change the settings for: Auto. Now when something happens over the wireless card, or an alert is triggered planned and cycles used for other things, the system will increase the performance of the processor depending on the amount of power you need to make to keep their music and get pass late. However, while about a power source, switch to maximum performance, now all the system processes will be treated with the highest priority, no matter how much energy is drained. With this small team, all in their hands.

Handheld devices to the memory usage as well as desktop computers do. Therefore, the logical response is to put an amount of system memory, memory and storage of their product to handle the daily needs, as well as special does not happen, but once a week. With 64 MB of system memory, you can run any programs you want and still have enough left over for streaming music over the Internet. 48 MB of ROM or read-only memory lets you store your operating system and certain documents, Setup, and such.

In conclusion, this product is a very good buy, I bought it for $ 210 last year, and I still use it. Now that the new Axim models outside the family, this product must be drastically in price, but never the feasibility of reducing, to the extent that they can do whatever you need. At that point, I had nothing to complain, I need a new Stylus, but a year later, and some resist abuse.
